Lyrica did not give me the problem you have, but it kept me from breathing well--to be more specific, it increased the "hug" which we sometimes get around the middle. I do not
like that drug, although some people get so much relief from it....but sounds like you are NOT getting it, with that "screw driver" working you over in several places.

You might say, well I've only been on it three days. But I say, I was only on one pill, and it completely stopped the pain left over from Shingles, which was very severe--but it also made me feel like I could not breathe easily--I've heard it called "air hunger". Now most people seem to get on with Lyrica, but maybe you are not one of them. If you were feeling great and thus went into intense "activity", that could be telling you something. I felt great on Lyrica--until I could not breathe well.

I use demerol only for pain. That is because I also have Porphyria, and demerol is one of the few drugs we can take orally for pain. I must not be addicted to it because I just stop if pain stops. I am taking more than I was, (daily now) because of toe neuropathy.

I can take Cortisone shots, although not Prednisone pills, and perhaps your worst spots might respond to that.
