I've been taking Topamax for several years. It was prescribed for me to prevent mood swings. I haven't noticed it having any effect on my headaches, but that could be related to the dosage.
As to side effects, I do ot sweat! You must be very careful in the heat because of this. Drink plenty of water, do not get over heated. I also have problems with my memory.
