The unfortunate thing is I AM entitled to SSI but for some reason, the application was overlooked or something. I looked back at my paperwork I received and I have 2 applications- one for Soc Sec Disability Insurance and one for Supplemental Security Income and on this one it lists all of my resources which was not over $2000. The rep who took my app also gave me 2 booklets. one for SSDI and one for SSI. My SSDI app is finalized. The SSI app is MIA. Neither the National # or the Local Office can give me a straight answer. None of my resources have changed since the app and if they have, its LESS than what I listed initially. Thanks for listening. It really does help to be able to vent.
You probably need an update interview by your local office and you need to provide proof of everything you said on your SSI application for the month of application through today. Once you have provided that and answered all the questions, a decision can be made on the SSI claim. It is possible for an Emergency Advance Payment can be made as well. Don't know your local office schedule, but perhaps showing up when they open on Monday with every single piece of paper that you have that proves what was said on the application plus proof of your disconnect notices and a willingness to sit there all day until someone can fit you in to their interview schedule may work. But the interview needs to be completed. The documents need to be submitted. You need to answer questions. The employee needs time to devote to the claim.
