I saw a consultant in orthopaedic MEDICINE rather than a surgeon (Dr Michael Hutson-has written several books on limb disorders, he has clinics in London and all over the UK tel 07538389853). The trouble with surgeons, esp private is that they're inclined to operate without taking a holistic approach to the patient (i know, I used to be one !) I went to an upper limb surgeon initially who you would have thought would have considered TOS ,but didn't and performed unnecessary elbow surgery. If you're confident its TOS and would be prepared to have surgery then make sure you pick a specialist with a specific interest in TOS.Heres a list of TOSers in the UK.
