I like to read stories of people with MG who actually got the right treatment and diagnosis right away! I didn't know that in children it's more common to be seronegative (the article says one half!). Also, it seems to suggest that a thymectomy makes more sense for young children.

I had a thymectomy young. Probably about age 7 or 8. I don't even remember. I haven't read this yet but I am going to. I don't know if this maybe have prolonged the inevitable at all but I've only had the problems with my eyes up until age 18 under severe stress I had weakness from head to toe.

I am back to relatively full strength now. But I am terrified of an eye surgery. I have severe ptosis on one eye and my eyes are turned in. I've lived with this for so long I figure why get the surgery? I can't have the surgery to lift my lid because he's scared that it'll dry out my eye :/ that is the main one I wanted to get done.
