Question RSD spread caused by patellar tendonitis?

Hi, everybody:

In August 2010, I had an ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) revision reconstruction in my left knee, using a bone - patellar tendon - bone graft taken from my right knee.

Since August 2001, I have had chronic RSD in my left knee. My RSD comes with severe chronic permanent pain.

Since August 2010, I have had patellar tendonitis in my right knee, maybe as a consequence of the bone - patellar tendon - bone graft taken from my right knee for the ACL revision reconstruction in my left knee. There may also be other reasons why I have patellar tendonitis in my right knee. This tendonitis causes moderate to severe chronic intermittent pain.

My questions are:

1) Could the RSD and its severe chronic pain in my left knee spread to my right knee because I have patellar tendonitis there?

2) If yes, how would I know the RSD and its severe chronic pain spread from my left knee to my right knee?

3) If the RSD and its pain have not yet spread from my left knee to my right knee, are there ways to prevent this from happening?

Thanks for your information.

Priscilla
