I had IVIG about 6 months ago. The first day was given in ambulatory care center of a hospital and the remaining 4 days were at home, administered by a nurse. The first day of my treatment cost $8500, and the remaining 4 days at home cost about $8500 total. It definitely was a cost savings to do most of the treatment at home. If I need it another time, I'll either have it done at an infusion center or at home. Or I may request the subcutaneous form of gammaglobulin since the home care company said that I could be taught to give it myself.
