Default Adult onset leukodystrophy anyone?

I am 65, the son of a Mayo Clinic neurologist which explains why I was born in Rochester Minnesota. I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters scattered across the US. Three of us, and most likely another brother too, have been diagnosed with an adult onset leukodystrophy (which few people have ever heard of, or seen before, including my current neurologist). My family is the disabled family. My wife is disabled with COPD, and my only child is disabled with a mental illness, specifically: Bipolar Disorder. My father was also disabled with a severe rheumatoid arthritis. So all of my life has been spent surrounded by various disabilities, all of which I have a special affection for.
