I got the same situation with Win7, but I wouldn't try it on XP and you wouldn't like to either! It was an update that Microsoft rolled out themselves.

You may have to go into the system registry and delete about 8 lines, if it is a similar thing.

I would try http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows Then select the right operating system, and in the question box type in a good deal of the error (with quotes on either side).
