Lightbulb Tambocor (flecaïnide) for RSD pain

Hi, everybody:

I know Tambocor (flecaïnide) is a heart medication. Many medications have off-label uses: Tambocor is one of these.

My questions are:

1) Are there any people here using Tambocor to control their RSD pain (an off-label use), with or without other medications?

2) If yes, are you using Tambocor sustained or extended release or Tambocor immediate release? What is the dosage you are using?

3) Who prescribes Tambocor for you, your cardiologist (heart doctor) or your primary care physician?

In the past, I used Tambocor along with Duragesic (fentanyl patches) and MSIR (morphine immediate release) to control my RSD pain. I had to stop using Tambocor because, at that time, I could not afford to pay for all my medications and I had to make a choice (pay for the narcotic painkillers OR pay for the Tambocor). I chose to pay for the opiates. Now that I have a job, I can afford to pay for all my medications, including the Tambocor.

Thanks for your information.

Priscilla
