Default Family History of Migraines

My neurologist asked me if there is any history of women in my family having migraines or headaches. He said even if it was a great-aunt twice removed on my father's side then I have the gene and it is not uncommon that if this is the case a concussion puts the migraine gene in gear. Even if you have never had a headache before in your life, but someone in your extended family has a lot of them, the concussion can cause the migraine gene to take over.

I did not think that anyone in my family had migraines, but actually he had a good hunch, my dad's sister has had migraines for years.

God Bless!
