Excellent news! It seems that 6+ months is quite common as a recovery time. I talked to someone the other day whose symptoms took over a year to go away completely. She's been symptom-free for a couple of years now.
I second Mark's suggestion to go slow. I'm no expert, but building as secure a foundation as possible for full recovery would seem to make sense.
