Hi Artist! An American biscuit is just like a scone, EXCEPT no sugar or dried fruits in them! Maybe a little differently shaped though, at times, depending on the baker's "mood"!

They are usually served hot or warm, with butter; in the South, they are FAMOUS for "Biscuits and Gravy"...the gravy usually being a white gravy.

And, like scones, they can have cheese or herbs in them. Very Yummy!

Hope you get to try them!!! (Follow your scone recipe, but leave out the sugar--and you will have a Biscuit!)
