If he's already been taken off the old food and it's been more than a few days, I wouldnt switch back. Probably cause more problems.

Could he be getting fed too much? Has he been dewormed? Anything creepy crawly in his poo?

If he's been a little...gooey for more than a few days. You might want to call the vet and ask what they suggest.
