Default fINALLY...The Results Are In (EMG MRI BLOOD)

Neuro muscular doctor is very happy because I am showing improvement and am stronger. No progression of the weakness, thank you God!

My doc says she believes it is the herpes zoster infections even tho' they did not show in the spinal fluid. I showed improvement after the Valtrex, so she'll see me in 2 months and I have to work like a maniac in physical therapy.

Starting Lyrica.

All the blood work was negative except the ESR. And there are pages and pages of bloods, urine and spinal fluid tests

EMG/NCV:
Right upper extremity: chronic neurogenic motor unit potential changes in right c5-c6 myotomes without active ongoing motor neuron loss, mild in degress electrically. Possible very early manifestation of ulnar neuropath across the elbow.

Lower extremities (done in April) showed active and chronic motor axon loss in the l2-s1 myotomes, most severely affecting the right side. These are most likely due to polyradiculoneuropathy affecting the segment /root or early manisfeStation of motor neuron disorder.

Mris:
Brain normal.

Thoracic Spine: Large central diSc herniation at t6-t7 with effacement of ventral CSF with mild indentation of vental aspect of the spinal cord. Moderate spinal canal stenosis at this level. Shallow small central herniation t7-t8.

Cervical: Disc osteophyte complexes of level c5-c6 and c6-c7 with bilateral process hypertophy resulting in mild spinal stenosis and bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing. Nerve root impingement at c5-c6 cannot be excluded.

L/S: multilevel degenerative changes with moderate spinal canal stenosis l2-l3 and l3-l4no root compression or bulges. (however, 2 week prior, the mri showed 2 mild to moderate bulges, so who know?)
