Default Organic Chia Seeds HELP diabetes

Hi all:

As you know I've been on a quest to better control my diabetes. For years. I've succeeded. My sugar readings are on the money and I'm good.

But there is aways room for improvement. My diet is great so there's no changing that. I grow my on stuff and I don't eat any refined carbs nor do I eat anything with sugar so ...so far so good. I realize that not everybody can eat the way I eat but for me, it works.

However, I came across a youtube video that I found EXTREMELY INTERESTING.

I had initially been using Fenugreek tea before bed time. But some people with thyroid issues can't do that.

I don't have thyroid issues but I can't remember to always make fenugreek every day. I sprout the stuff but I had read where the tea really helps with dawn phenomenon.

Well!!!!! boy did I discover something really good.

Organic Chia Sees (making gel).

These are the same seeds that you used to see in the Chia commercial only those seeds are NOT for eating, nor can you sprout using that Chia clay pot thing.

It has chemicals in it.

I'm all about being organic.

So I did some investigating and I bought a product at Forces of Nature Health Store (it's online too), and you can find organic chia seeds at health stores that sell organic food and stuff.

I made the gel (which a brainless person can do, believe me).

After watching this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_5EprOmOS0

I simply took one cup of water, and (in my case) I used one tablespoonf chia seeds. Stir it around and let it stand on the counter for 15 minutes. Stir again, and cover and refrigerate overnight.

That's it!!!!!

Well... I did this the other day and during the day I simply a few teaspoons of the stuff and put it back in the fridge. You can take te few teaspoons and add it to ANY liquid, but for me, it's easier to just put it in my mouth. It tastes like thick water. It's no problem. You put it in your mouth (the seeds re suspended in the gelled water).

Took some last night before bedtime. My sugar reading this morning was 74

I have NEVER had 74 in my life. I had not changed my Lantus dosage but tonight I will.

I will give myself two units less.

I will probably never go off of insulin (uness this Debt Ceiling thing affects medcare and I have no choice) but it's good to know that there is a food item that is all natural, no pesticides, and is SO HEALTHY.

Good Lord, I should have been doing this all along.

And it takes 30 seconds to prepare this thing and you can keep it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. One would have to make a lot of the gel.

I just do the one up of water and one tablespoon of organic chia seeds.

Has anyone else tried this?

Melody
