Default These books have issues.

My favorite books are about problems. Maybe cause I like reassurance that problems exist outside my own skull, be they fictional or not (a selfish outlook, I know. I don't have schadenfreude about everything, but I do like to see minor everyday disasters on occasion).

The last book I read that left the biggest impact was Geek Love, by Katherine Dunn. It was incredible. Surreal, fascinating, disgusting, psychologically insane, funny, tearjerking....overwhelming. But in a good way. If you're up for some good crazy, I suggest giving it a try.

I'm currently reading Valerie and her Week of Wonders, but my mind has been wandering of late, and it's difficult to concentrate. I'm praying my brainwaves will settle down so reading can be a comfort again.
