the older I get, the fonder the memories of my life, especially before MS robbed me of a lot of my physical capabilities.
I was not popular, did not have a date to the prom.
As ever, I was outspoken. The humanities teacher could not resist a good religious debate and I could easily be encouraged to speak which meant I was a target for a certain born again christian to get angry and gather all those in her church to dislike me intensely (as teens will do.)
Most of the angst has fallen away to memories that can be explored from an adult perspective. I remember dancing for hours in my brother's old room in front of a mirror. Hoping to be asked to dance at a gym dance. Janna ALWAYS got at least one more dance than me!
Lots of memories, some difficult. None hurt anymore. I choose to nurse the good.
