Lesions can be in the Corpus Callosum and yet have very subtle effects on your cognition. We know people with tons of lesions, and no major symptoms.

Also the brain only uses 10 percent of it's ability. So it can re-learn, go around a damage and make new pathways. We have to keep using our brains. Read, do puzzles, games, learn something new even if slowly, keep our brains always in the learning mode, and retrain the brain too.

Even after stroke, or other diseases, or even accidental brain injury, we can re-learn even from the beginning. People forget how to write, read or talk and yet can get it back with other parts of their brains and practice.

Also we cannot remember everything we have learned, or every detail that happened to us growing up. Not every single detail, only the ones that had a more powerful impact on our lives, a good thought, or sad one Something in the spotlight.

One Neuro brain surgeon I know said to me, we have to forget some things in order to learn new things. We do not have 100 percent recall, no one does.

Don't worry if you miss a word or two, forget things, etc. Practice helps.
The frontal lobes are improtant too. Nice picture Jack.

"Life is what it is". We can only focus on controlling those things we can control, we must let go of the things we can't.
