Default Light Therapy / Infra red therapy

I have used this form of light therapy for the past five years. I have had PN issues for close to thirteen years and this form of therapy was recommended by both my neurologist and a pain management specialist. At the beginning I used the machine for 30 minutes nearly everyday. Currently I use it for 30 minutes about two times a week for the same effect. It in no way has eliminated the symptoms but it has lowered the level of pain. I do know if I go without following the treatment for over two weeks (which I did recently when my equipment was sent out for repair) that the pain levels went back up. Infra red light therapy works by improving oxygen exchange to the cells and thus improving circulation. Please keep in mind the equipment can be expensive and this was not covered by my insurance nor is it an approved form of therapy for those on disability. I hope this information will help.
