We have a scheme called young enterprise here where that happense - we are given loans or taught how to get people to invest and then have a year to make our business work. It is generally only small things - like making t-shirts, painting mugs, doing small jobs/ services but it works really well. A lot of my friends have done it. However, I decided against it because of the level of help I would have needed with it and not being able to pull my weight in a team where so much of it is based on product!
Even business studies though focused on the 4Ps, the importance of positive framing in advertising, supply chains, the balance between supply and demand, market research etc.
true though - entrepeneur ship is very important in both the UK and US as the manufacturing industry leaves both our countries... especially as I am really not sure (personally) whether the UK can survive becoming only a tertiarly and quaternary service provider ESPECIALLY once the UK has overhauled it's approach to "green energy" (stopping planes etc etc)...
Oh well!!
Frogga xxxxx (who doesn't remember much from business studies).
