Gosh, I'm sorry I've been away from the site for so long, I'm at a cabin on the MN/Canadian border so it's difficult to say the least to get to the internet. But having said that, here I am!! nothing can stop me now!!
To update all on the past two weeks. My surgical incisions (two 4" sites, one on spine, one on right butt cheek) took quite a long time to heal. The site with the battery was the worst though. Wow, could that baby flash me some pain!! This is the first week that I've felt very little pain from the implant site. Hoo, Hoo!
I still cannot immerse into water here (lake water is only choice) so I long to get into a tub with warm water to help stretch my muscles. Ah, but that will come next week when I spend some time at home. Until then I continue to try to walk whenever possible. Today I actually did some cleaning. It hasn't been done here at the cabin since I got sick 6 years ago (well I mean really good cleaning
).
Again, I am so totally grateful to my God and surgeons for giving me this wonderful Boston Scientific Precision. It is sooooooo totally GREAT!
After reading the posts here on my thread there were some ?? about PN and SCS. I'd be most interest about that as my daughter (31) is suffering from Small Fiber Neuropathy that has attacked her entire body. She will be seeing a neurologist to see if this would work on her also. What's the viewpoint out there? I heard that your backs are hurting. Is that because of the SCS? or your PN??
Yikes, this is getting long but I would love to hear from those of you out there who are interested in SCS or have ?? on why go this route. I'd be most happy to help. Anyway, So happy to hear from those out there. My feet are just doing a little dance as I'm typing this because they are so crazy to be pain free. Oh, my. I just can't stand this. Now remember, mine was full body RSD so the Other pain is still there (above the waist) but I can deal with this because I now only have 1/2 of the bod in pain.
