The "no bending,twisting, reaching, etc., is soooo very important. The scar tissued has to build up around the leads to keep them in place. The restricted movements cannot be stressed enough. If the leads should migrate and the scar tissue keeps them in a position that was not intended; could very possibly lead to an unsuccessful implant. You have come this far - do not let wanting to do things for yourself get in the way. Let others do for you when possible and "look the other way" when you see something you want to get at yourself.
