I've been away for a few days so I missed your update, it's good to hear you are doing okay, I too had a problem with the itching primarily because i'm allergic many of the dressing they use and my skin gets an awful rash and I need special dressing which some hospitals don't carry - have no idea why!!!

Everything that everyone has said about not stretching etc is so important, there's nothing like a shower after those stitches/staples come out, I had about 40 stitiches too and it was trying to get them out as scabs had grown over some of them.

I hope you're getting lots of looking after, pampering and basically not doing anything except some TV and a good book.
