I had a high tolerance for alcohol. I remember in college jocks loving how much I could "put away" without ever seeming drunk. Alcoholics becomes alcoholics
because they can "handle their liquor." I don't remember ever meeting anyone at AA who was an alcoholic who got tipsy on the 2nd glass of wine.
Don't get me wrong--it's possible. But I think it's really rare.
