I am in the middle of CPK testing too. My neuro didn't like the numbers my rheumy got, which the rhuemy never mentioned them to me. So then my neuro had my CPK level checked again, it was still slightly elevated, so tested again. The 3rd time it was higher than the first time, so now I am having the blood work done again this week.
I do not have edema, thankfully. The burning does happen to me, mostly on my legs though, not full body.
Honest, I wasn't ignoring you, I just thought someone else with a lot more experience would respond to you and they still might. NEver give up, sometimes people get busy.

We urge all doctors to take time to listen to your patients.. don't "isolate" symptoms but look at the whole spectrum. If a patient tells you s/he feels as if s/he's falling apart and "nothing seems to be working properly", chances are s/he's right!
