Sorry to hear about folks' pain- at least some good advice was given.

My pain was bad yesterday- 100 F weather, accidentally nodded "yes", and the slight bump from Sat.

When I lied down to sleep it was horrible (as expected). Metal spike through the brain & roof of the mouth. A miracle I fell asleep. Maybe melatonin really helps as well.
