'Crosby has visited with leading concussion specialists in Michigan and Georgia, who have concluded the 24-year-old All-Star will make a full recovery from the concussion he suffered in January that cost him the remainder of the 2010-11 season.

'But how long that recovery will take remains unknown.

'"We always knew this was going to be a progressive recovery – based on how he felt," said Pat Brisson, Crosby's agent, in the statement. "With a concussion, there is not a finite recovery period like with a shoulder injury or a knee injury. That's why we've never even set a specific goal for a return date like the start of training camp or Oct. 1 or anything else. He will play when he is symptom free."'
being a hockey fan i'm also following up on crosby's concussion back in january. he had a setback recently in his comeback. apparently he's having headaches when he tries to practice hard.

as you mentioned they do expect a full recovery, and NHL concussion history shows that mostly all players come back symptom free from a first or second concussion, even if it takes them a yr or more to rest.

hopefully he comes back and has a healthy career. his case has done a lot to raise concussion awareness in sports.
