is the wundermap. on the right panel, click satellite. this shows the cloud cover. in the 'options' section, you can click animate. the color legend is on a separate tab ('legend') next to the 'options' one which is the default displayed.
yes but that was a full force hurricane i can't remember which one... David i think, and even though we only got a tail hit, the spot where we lived there was a hill on one side and a hill on the other. ok "bump" is more accurate - no major elevations there. but enough that all the rain flowed down and collected in OUR yard. i was a teen and though it was fun. neighborhood kids and i waded around in it much to the horror of all the parents. because there were trees and powerlines down you see.
the cats were NOT appreciative. the poor adopted-stray had disappeared just before the storm. he reappeared on a table we had around a tree and swam to the porch when we put food out. poor thing. he sort of precipitated stick-legged into the water... hated it. but we couldnot have got him because he was still not people-friendly. so that was the only way to get him nearer to the house where there was shelter in case of more rain. dunno where he went during the storm. it was like he materialized on that table. gotta love cats.
