Unhappy reducing pain medication after surgery

good day to all! first let me say i am not someone who is computer smart so i will do my best sharing my experience. i was awakened at 3:38 this morning from my pain that has me crying. I spoke to my psychiatrist this morning I've been with him about a year and a half and spoke about my pain and the pain medications and how i had taken myself off the Oxycontin prescribed by my surgeon 30 mg along with 10 mg of oxycodone generic for percs given for break through down from 40 mg. this is something i choose to do myself not because it made me loopy but i needed to know what kind of pain i was left with especially after the second surgery. i found that my body needed 20 mg of percs upon waking and 3 more 10 mg doses throughout the day. i also take other medication muscle relaxant 4 doses at 4 mg a day. i do not like it but i also needed to know what kind of pain i was dealing with and although i removed the Oxycontin from my body a little over a month i feel extreme pain more now than the first surgery. what i learned is my pain level is pretty much at a level 5 to 7 on a scale of 1-10 while on medicine not to mention that i am fusing the second time around all of my pain is back and with new pain in both arms from finger tips on up my neck and back. i mentioned last week i had yet another emg at my surgeons request because he could not explain why my arms are in the state they are in, well new findings show peripheral neuropathy WELCOME new pain, and your here because????? i believe something went wrong the second time around. i'm sick of it!!!!!!!! soooooooooo sick of it all. i still get up everyday and do what needs to be done. i go forward for i must i will return back to work by the end of this month. i will be seeing my surgeon tomorrow curious as to what he will say. Daisey13, i took a huge hit after the second surgery taking two 6 month leave from my job a year in total and only received a struggling amount form SSD that began March of this year with no retro. just another headache where no one seems to know what their job is. good luck have all your doctors reports available. things amazingly go missing delaying the process. till i see my neurosurgeon i do need to stay positive and stay in charge of my body. NEVER GO TO THE DOCTORS ALONE EVER!!!! MIND OVER MATTER and so it goes..
