nobody seems to understand!
Hey everyone, I'm Dan.. 24 yr old male (25 this coming labor day)
I hit my head on my bathroom sink 3 and 1/2 weeks ago 8/7/11. After hitting my head my mom wanted to rush me to the ER but however I was really stubborn and seemed to be alright following the fall. After 10 days or so I made an appointment with my family doctor as I was feeling lethargic and lightheaded. She told me that I most likely suffered a mild concussion and these were lingering symptoms that sometimes last longer than the usual few days. A week later I started getting headaches, I have had headaches before but every so often.. I've very rarely taken Tylenol or any otc of that nature.
The headaches are hard to describe, they seem like my brain is too big for my skull and they differ but are usally brought about from tension or stress. a week ago I had a CT scan which came back normal which helped put my mind at rest at least a little. However this week i'm becoming more anxious as the 1 month spot is coming up (on my birthday actually) Obviously I wont be doing much celebrating as I can't drink without causing a huge headache. Nor do I really have a desire to anymore, quite frankly.
I cancled a trip last weekend up to Boston to see the girl I'm in love with (she doesen't know) because I didnt think flying would be such a great idea. My other injuries in life were easy to deal with because there was a proper time table of when I would be better. For this matter, depending on what I read is 3 months-years and sometimes permanent, so obviously that doesen't help me out either..
i'm frustrated and just hope to make a turn around soon!
