I wish I knew but then it possibly wouldn't help to know unless there is a cure.
I sustained a concussion by standing up into my freezer door. Two people saw it happen and said it looked as if I barely bumped my head. 6 months later I'm still dealing with it all. I assume by next year or the year after I'll not have any remaining symptoms but right now it all seems so surreal that this happened so easily.
What's occuring to me more recently is a feeling that my brain is healing but I'm actually learning new things and I'm wired a little differently than I was before. This has me a little on edge at times when I can't rely on the same brain I used to have and I feel like I can't totally trust this new brain when confronted with situations I used to think were old hat. I think this has shaken my confidence a little.
- all from a 1 second oops with the freezer.
