Yeah "hard" disks are not hard at all to mess up with a decent impact! i haven't dropped my computer (much... yet...) but i dropped my first phone so many times... well... then it began to act crazy.... putting funny characters on the screen, sometimes, and i had to fiddle with it, and it lasted several years more before it finally gave up the ghost. i still have it althought it is quite dead now... i cannot bring myself to part with its poor dented, cracked carcass
... it took a lot of abuse before erhmmmm....
and btw i agree with you 200% on technology.
