From reading on all the various forums here, some medications just don't work for some people. Often it is a case of trying different meds to find the right one, or ones, for you.
Hopefully your doctor will be aware that this can happen.
It has also been brought up in the past that an added anti depressant will help the pain med to be more effective. Possibly due to less tension be held in the body?
Tension = shallow breaths instead of full diaphragmatic breaths along w/ increased muscle tension
