Yes. That is consistent with my understanding.

Most likely the fracking did not cause the recent earthquake in Virginia but fracking has probably caused smaller earthquakes. If fracking were to occur on a fault line, then all bets are off.


The federal and state governments seem to be supporting the energy companies so far -- with low taxes and low regulations.
