Do they book alien vacationers for suites??????? Sounds nice.
I truly have no point of reference to the in hospital retention, since barring complications, in the US patients are sent home same day as surgery. I had laminectomy at T8-T9 to open space for the paddles which were inserted as part of my initial implant. Yes, it did hurt akin to the surgery I had for discectomy/laminectomy/fusion back in the day..... The duration of the recovery period from the process was less significant than the recovery from that earler surgery and in a matter of five days at home using additional meds on top of my pain management meds [all RX prescribed mind you] I tapered off of and ultimately discontinued the surgical pain meds.
Gotta be careful with the laminectomy, as you truly do have a hole in your spine, but following BLAST [no bending, no lifting, NO stretching, no twisting] and utilizing the Logroll method of arising from bed, you will be a happier camper. Try your utmost to perform the logroll on your own without some well intentioned helper [husband] pulling you up from the shoulders..... trust me, you will feel the better for it, and will risk less possibility of his inadvertent touching a something sensitive on your back...... truly.
Yup,
