hi,
towelhorse here. when i first had tos we had also just picked up a new labrador puppy. after play fighting with the puppy, the scratch and bite feelings persisted in my affected arm for hours, whereas in my good arm you wouldnt have known anything had happened. a pt said it was pain memory.

The double crush theory of why TOS people have strange neural responses in upper limbs describes axonal transport, that is, the nutrient and waste needs to be moved along the nerve. if there are multiple points of compression on the nerve there will not be enough flow to enable the nerve to function properly. it gives incorrect responses to stimuli. this may help
