I've never used a usb wireless , but the card adapters & software -just does it's thing w/ a few clicks - then you either click a Connect button the first time or you might have a button to click and a set up thing called - WPS - (wireless protected set up) comes up so you click the button with your cursor then go to your router and push a small button on the side /edge of the router.
that's how our Dlink wireless works.
Then it automatically starts & connects every-time you start the computer.
There might be a few things to enter for the router set up - Verizon offers a wireless modem now both modem & wireless in one thing.
- and they can offer help & assistance if you use their product.
Otherwise they say they really cannot assist if you have another brand of router, but one guy I talked to helped me a lot when we had to reset everything one time.
If you do wireless you should compare the pros & cons of the Verizon product.
They may know of USB adapters that will be easiest & compatible with their product.
