Default "Life Support" on HBO: HIV and Peripheral Neuropathy

It's a true story about an HIV positive AIDS activist in Brooklyn, her struggles, her family life, and helping the community. As part of her HIV, she has Peripheral Neuropathy. The movie explores the special problems that PN cause and how difficult it is to control and live with the pain. The drama deals with all of these issues realistically, forcefully, and with great love and compassion.

You can find out more about "Life Support" at http://www.hbo.com/films/lifesupport...ategory6_show0 . To me, it's a must-see drama.

A caution: this film is for teens and adults. The themes and language are adult, though in a realistic way with artistic integrity. One of the subjects in the film is the various ways of transmital such as intervenous drug use and unprotected sex. The language is sometimes quite blunt. There is some cursing during family squabbles and confrontations, realistic and never gratuitous. I don't think that preteens and youngsters would understand what's going on here, or would enjoy the great acting and believable and realistic character development.
