I have posted my dry socket experience here just recently. I also just found out I have a sinus communication. My dry socket has healed over but it is 6 weeks and I still have some pain once in a while. My hole is almost closed finally but it is so sensitive and sore as the gums heal. I am sorry that the dental practice is treating you that way, this is unethical and makes you think if they had something to hide. I did not have a great extraction experience. I did not have my upper left molar extracted by an oral surgeon but I am not under the care of one. I have to be honest the last two days it has been tight very tight and I believe that is the healing taking place. I had an issue with the dentist that took it out and the owner of the practice took over my case and has seen me for weeks to check for any kind of infection and to make sure the healing is going the right way. I knew I had a communication but he said he did not see it and if it was it was small and will heal on it's own but that is not good enough for me. Went to an oral surgeon and he gave me a decongestant and antibiotic and is hopeful even though it has been this long will still heal on its own because now it is being treated so it can. I know how you feel with being alone. I am not physically alone being I have 2 small children a loving husband and great friends but nobody understands the frustration and anxiety that has come along with this. SInce AUgust 8th I have cried everyday and felt as though I was falling into a depression because of the frustration and everything that has come along with this experience. Yesterday was the first day I felt as though things will get better and I had a positive attitude. I have become to explore my faith in GOD and feel as though he will take care of me. Everything is going to be ok. You will heal and this will also be a thing of the past. It will take time so don't get discouraged and frustrated. I know it sucks and my dry socket was not so painful it was a weird kind. So today it looks smaller and I am just hoping the sinus communication is healing. I will not know till Monday. I do have a regular DES appt this morning for a follow up to check it. You can write to me everyday on here if you want to vent and I will keep you updated on me and you can keep me updated on you.
