Unless they're looking right at you, and then the eyeshine/tapetum lucidum shows up. Our cat was black, as was our first Labbie. Our current chocolate isn't much better in the dark, except as noted. What's really been freaky is being caught unaware by a visiting pet..... "Ah, there you are, Pook... wait a sec... what's
