Definitely talk with your dr. about it. It can be an MS thing or it could be something else. Better to get it checked than not.
Medications, even if we have been on them a long time, can cause different reactions. So can switching from brand name to generic or even within the different generics. I recently experienced that when I went from one generic brand to another. I won't do that again and now only get my gabapentin from Northstar. Allergies to medications can do this too. You can take them for a long time and all of a sudden become allergic to them. Also, age is a factor too. Our bodies are constantly changing and what was a good dosage for us when we were younger, is not a good dosage for us now. Some adjustments to your meds may be needed.
And speaking of age, age related changes can be going on as well. I know a few women who had some bizarre experiences when they were going through menopause. According to them, they started experiencing a number of weird feelings including the disconnected feeling that you are describing. Well, I'm not sure if you are male or female so this may or may not apply to you. But, men have hormonal changes as well, generally around the age of 50 too. They call it andropause and it's real.
Additionally, seizures won't show up on an MRI. An MRI can show if something is causing the seizures. Again, talk to your dr about this. He/she may want to do an EEG. They're simple and painless. Just annoying because they want you sleep deprived. I have had "absent" moments and seizure activity as well. Although, I have never lost hours at a time unless, as Wkikta mentions, I am playing on the computer or involved in a book or something like that. Those are definite time losers.
Hang in there and let us know what the dr. says.
