IMO alot of animals throw up from the anesthetic. This is why you need to fast them, before surgery.

Keep this in mind.... Your estimate was only for a spay. If they had to open her stomach or intestines, that would be EXTRA...
Vets today have major hidden costs. Typically a gastrectomy (opening the stomach) or an intestinal resection... cutting the bowel and removing something and stitching it back up... starts at $3000! (or more) depending on the length of time it takes, at $60 a minute.

Doody on Pets, had dental floss removed from her cat's intestines not too long ago... $3000.

If your dog swallows junk, chews toys too much, watch like a hawk. Because it could turn into a nightmare for you and the poor critter!

I am so glad it turned out well. Not all of these situations do.
