Smile New Intradermal Flu Vaccine

For all who avoid flu vaccines due to the injections the newly FDA approved Intradermal vaccine uses a needle the size of a human hair which is painless and injected just under the skin. It has taken me several days to find the vaccine and the closest provider is a Safeway grocery store almost an hour away.

The only way I found this provider was to call the manufacturer of the vaccine since my family physician was not able to order it due to a contractual agreement with a vaccine company that did not carry it. I had exhausted the usual routes, local health departments in six counties, CVS Minute Clinics, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.in six counties.

The number to call to locate a provider in your area is 800-822-2463.
