I really don't think it is safe to take 5 or 6 Lunesta a night.

Taking opiates long term has been shown to increase the number of pain receptors in the brain. This is sensed by glia
which are the brain's support cells.

So I am sorry that there are no easy answers for you.

One avenue to explore is Vit D testing. There are new papers showing chronic pain patients are typically low in Vit D...and by raising the levels in the body some pain relief may be possible and even lowering of pain medication dosing.

Your doctor can order the testing for you, so you can determine how much to use.
