Be careful about the info that any site says it needs to verify that you are the person you say you are. I just got hit with a nasty, nasty virus that overtook my computer/IP address and started (unbeknownst to me) spewing out spam to other computers.

I only found out after contacting my antivirus software provider about strange messages and a slow computer. They logged in remotely to rid my computer of the virus. They said that there is a new bug going around with two purposes:
1) to get you to give private information, then they say have software that will protect from this problem in future (they want your credit card number)
2) in the meantime (and beyond) they are using your computer to send spam

I would get a new email, share no sensitive info, and contact my antivirus co. to see if they can help you verify of you have a virus that slipped through....and if hey can get rid of it.

Good luck...I know this is a frustrating, stressful pain in the ........
