I took Cymbalta for RA and nerve pain plus anxiety a few years back. It was wonderful for pain and anxiety.
I stayed on it for 18 months and finally decided I was tired of the side effects of constipation, "ahem," sexual side effects, and mild weight gain and swelling.
I was unable to wean off, so my doctor gave me a prescription for 8 prozac tablets, and I took them with the cymbalta for a few days and then stopped without incident.
