So I guess I'm going to try to see if I can tolerate it.

Just a couple of tips when taking Neurontin. I got these tips when I first started taking it. Take it around meal time and with lots of protein. If you're taking it in the a.m., make sure you eat a higher protein breakfast. For some reason that really helps. I can't remember the reasons they gave and I've never seen those tips again but it does help. Also, drink plenty of water when taking it. That too helps.
Neurontin can deplete your magnesium and vitamin B12 (I just learned that one) so make sure you get plenty of it in both your diet and supplements.
It took me about a week to get used to it and I rarely get that loopy feeling now. I take 300 mg in the am and 600 mg at night. This is the highest dose I can tolerate. They've had me try to increase it but I just couldn't.
I hope you start feeling better soon.
