I'm so sorry about what this is doing to your relationship. It's wonderful of you to seek out help on his behalf....shows how much you truly care.
You might be able to get some good pointers on the RSD/CRPS forum. Lots of folks willing to help. Here's the link to get you there:

This type of pain can sure bring out the worst sometimes.
His heart might open a bit if he knew that he certainly is not alone in his battle.
I pray that things begin to turn around...
