When I lived in the country people dumped their animals they did not want or could not afford. The animals would start to walk by my house but my animals would stop them and invite them to stay. One cat walked up while my two big dogs (aeredale & border collie) were eating. He nosed in and began eating from their dishes. Dogs get chosen but cats choose us.
